Welcome Progressing Ballet Technique to Allegro Dance!

Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) is an innovative body-conditioning and strengthening program developed by Marie Walton-Mahon for students to understand the depth of training muscle memory in achieving their personal best. One of the important elements used in the PBT method is muscle memory which helps to improve students' understanding of core stability, weight placement and alignment. Each exercise in the PBT program has been developed with care and guidance by Marie Walton-Mahon alongwith a team of physiotherapists.

Miss Jenn is excited about bringing PBT to Allegro Dance this Fall! She received her certification in the PBT method on May 17, 2020. The students will love this method and the technical results and injury prevention it provides!

Nutcracker Ballet Camp

Our most popular summer camp is now available in a two hour day camp just in time for the holiday season!! Your child will spend the two hours dancing to music from the Nutcracker, learning about the story behind the Ballet and doing Nutcracker themed crafts. Your ballerina will surely have visions of sugarplums dancing in their heads after this camp! Best of all? Get some holiday shopping done while we ignite creativity within your dancer! Spaces are limited, enroll now!

$60/dancer. Ages 4-6 (3 1/2 with permission form instructor if already enrolled at Allegro Dance).

"Madeline" the Ballet Auditions

Allegro Dance Ballet Ensemble will be performing the Ballet “Madeline” for our Spring 2020 performance! We are auditioning Ballet dancers with previous training to perform with us! Please email jenn@allegrodancemi.com with any questions. Cost to audition is $10 cash. All dancers are welcome and must be enrolled in Ballet classes at their home studio to audition.

1PM-2PM Dancers ages 7-9. Please wear a black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes and have your hair secured back in a neat bun. Dancers in our pre-professional program- please wear your level colored leotard.

2:15-3:15PM Dancers ages 10 and up. Please wear a black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes and have your hair secured back in a neat bun. Dancers in our pre-professional program- please wear your level colored leotard. If you are already on Pointe, please bring your Pointe shoes!

Rehearsals for the performance will be Saturdays 12:30-2:30 starting in January. Exact date TBD. Closer to the performance rehearsals may be lengthened.

Open Pre-Professional Ballet Classes May 13th-17th, 2019!

Do you have a Ballet dancer interested in seeing what our pre-professional program is all about? During the week of May 13th-17th, our pre-professional classes are open to Ballet dancers complimentary.
