Welcome Progressing Ballet Technique to Allegro Dance!

Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) is an innovative body-conditioning and strengthening program developed by Marie Walton-Mahon for students to understand the depth of training muscle memory in achieving their personal best. One of the important elements used in the PBT method is muscle memory which helps to improve students' understanding of core stability, weight placement and alignment. Each exercise in the PBT program has been developed with care and guidance by Marie Walton-Mahon alongwith a team of physiotherapists.

Miss Jenn is excited about bringing PBT to Allegro Dance this Fall! She received her certification in the PBT method on May 17, 2020. The students will love this method and the technical results and injury prevention it provides!

Allegro Dance Goes Virtual!

All of us at Allegro Dance are missing our dance families so much during this difficult time of quarantine due to COVID 19. Today we launched virtual privates as a way to stay connected to our students and to help them continue to improve and move while they are stuck at home! Miss Jenn loved seeing some of her dedicated students and working with them even if it was over a computer. Complimentary Classes at Allegro Dance!

Come see why Allegro Dance has quickly become the go to studio in Oakland County for quality dance training! We are a boutique dance studio that teaches proper technique in a safe, supportive dance environment. We help your child develop artistry while building their confidence both inside and outside of the studio!

All of our classes are taught by highly qualified adult teachers with years of experience. Many of our classes also have a classroom assistant to help the class run smoothly.

Open Pre-Professional Ballet Classes May 13th-17th, 2019!

Do you have a Ballet dancer interested in seeing what our pre-professional program is all about? During the week of May 13th-17th, our pre-professional classes are open to Ballet dancers complimentary. Email or call us to reserve a spot in one of our pre-pro classes to see if our program is a good fit for your dancer! Wider Selection of Classes at Allegro Dance Added!

Allegro Dance will turn 3 in April and we are so proud of the studio it has become and the families it has welcomed! We launched our website in April 2016 and by August 2016 we ran our first Swan Lake Ballet Camp. In September 2016, we opened our doors for our first official season of dance. At that time, we had 6 weekly classes on the schedule and finished our first season with 21 kids. Now almost 3 years later and with a remodeled space to enjoy, we are finishing our 3rd full season of classes with 30 weekly classes and 405 students!! Wow!

As we continue to grow and open registration up for the 2019-2020 dance season, it is exciting for us to be able to add new class options and levels for our students. Here’s what is coming for the 2019-2020 season:

• 10-13 year old classes in Tap, Jazz and Ballet

• Leaps and Turns class for Ballet and Jazz dancers ages 7 and up

• A third level to our pre-professional Ballet program

• 33 weekly classes for you to choose from

• Adult dance classes

• Allegro Dance Ballet Ensemble’s first full length Ballet production in Spring 2020

• A closed circuit camera system displayed on our TV in the lobby for easy viewing of classes for parents

• New dance floor coming Summer 2019!

• Weekly Summer 2019 classes

Don't Miss The Glitz and Glam!

You do not want to miss the fun, enroll by Thanksgiving to participate in the spring recital! We are measuring for recital costumes this week, but it will not be too late to join in on the fun! Our spring performance is a great show that will feature each of our classes. Be sure to sign up so your dancer can be apart of the show! The recital is May 11th at Troy High School.
